<p><p> For more than five years, the Bush administration's mercenary force of choice, Blackwater Worldwide, has operated on a US government contract in Iraq in a climate that has wed immunity with impunity. Today the Justice Department took the first concrete step to hold accountable the individuals responsible for the single greatest massacre of Iraqi civilians at the hands of an armed private force deployed in Iraq by the US government.</p><p>Five Blackwater operatives turned themselves in to federal authorities in Salt Lake City on Monday morning after being officially notified that they had each been indicted on fourteen manslaughter charges and allegations they used automatic weapons in the commission of a crime. A sixth Blackwater operative has already pleaded guilty to two charges as part of an agreement to testify against his colleagues. The thirty-five-count indictment was unsealed today in Washington, DC. It stems from the operatives' alleged role in the Nisour Square shootings in Baghdad in September 2007 that left seventeen Iraqi civilians dead and more than twenty wounded. Today's indictments represent the first time in more than five years of the Iraq occupation that the Justice Department has brought criminal charges against armed private contractors for crimes committed against Iraqis.</p> Significantly, Blackwater as a company faces no charges in the case. </p>

<p>On the margins of the Iraq war, a parallel army of 100,000 has been doing the jobs unable to be tackled by an overstretched U.S. military, either because they cannot or will not take on these jobs.</p>
<p>You may know them as "security contractors," and they operate outside the rules of engagement.</p>
<p>Fainaru traveled with several bands of "mercs" to find out why they have come to Iraq, revealing a brutally honest portrait of these individuals - The Commonwealth Club of California</p>
<p>Author of the book Big Boy Rules: America's Mercenaries Fighting in Iraq, Steve Fainaru is a foreign correspondent for the Washington Post, where he covered the war in Iraq from 2004 to 2007. In addition to the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting, he received the Overseas Press Club's Hal Boyle Award for best newspaper or wire-service reporting from abroad for his stories on private security contractors. He was a Pulitzer finalist in 2006 for his coverage of U.S. troops as the insurgency in Iraq intensified.</p>

The officers movement include incredibly determined members willing to risk it all.. They've got the very best weapons money can buy; they're already numbering in the millions, they are the elite & ready to roll!
<br />Give them just a bit more time to expand their forces so they can help stop the New World Order criminals from annihilating the world!</p>
<p>Remember the Tsunami? The BBC, HMS Scott & others inadvertently proved conclusively that the horrific event of 26 Dec. 2004 was the biggest single war crime in recorded history. The French Government has shown an interest in this unbelievably arrogant gaffe, with a former director of the French Government from the National Council for Scientific Research putting to bed any notion that the Tsunami was a 'natural event'. The author, Physicist Dr. Jean Pierre Petit, provides some excellent photographs of American-occupied Diego Garcia, & predicts a very chilling future for America if a similar 'natural event' should "accidentally" occur in the Canary Islands.</p>
