A fellow DREAM Act friend of mine suggested that it was time we took on the task of developing answers to their comment spam. Answers with facts, answers that are coherent and intelligent, and answers that are mass-distributed. This involves a careful survey of what people say about us and the DREAM Act,&nbsp; dissecting each argument, and noting several counterpoints to each point. </p><p>Are we going to change minds? Maybe, we can change minds by providing correct information for those who are ambivalent and uninformed, but not the ignorant masses who insist and see undocumented students as the enemy. And that is the real problem -- we are the new scapegoats; too many people fighting over the small piece of pie are being pushed to believe that if we got rid of all &quot;illegals,&quot; their problems would miraculously disappear. I have seen <a href="http://www.rense.com/general80/mroe.htm">blog posts</a> with doubtful statistics about how illegal immigrants are more expensive than the war in Iraq. He asked me, &quot;How do you find a sponsor?&quot;</p><p>I told him that in our situation, we don&#39;t find sponsors. They just &quot;happen.&quot; I applied to colleges in hopes that someone might become interested in my peculiar situation and offer me a hand. And it happened. My high school counselor talked to the person in charge of the scholarship program and said that my status would not be a problem, as long as I proved to them that I merited admission.</p><p>But now, I find myself in a similar situation. I am about to graduate from college soon and I would like to either work as a teacher in high school or go on to graduate school.</p><p>I began to ask my friends who know about me, &quot;If you were in my situation, what would you do after graduation?&quot; I did this because I am running low on ideas, since I can&#39;t even work at a bookstore just to save money for graduate school.&nbsp; Apart from joining the millions of migrants who work under the table, there are no other choices.</p><p>Of course, there is always the choice to return home, but I don&#39;t want to start a new life and never see the people I care about in more than 10 years.</p><p>We still are here and our hopes, despite the setbacks we have faced, are still keeping us alive and motivated.
