O'Reilly Hates Edwards and Has the Misinformation to "Prove" It!

O’Reilly really has a hate-on for John Edwards. Maybe because Edwards was the first to drop out of both Fox-sponsored Democratic debates, or maybe because Edwards’ truly populist campaign that focuses on healthcare, poverty and getting the US out of Iraq threatens to draw away traditional red-state voters who might find these issues more important than Paris Hilton and Rosie O’Donnell.

For whatever reasons, Loofah Boy wants Edwards’ head, and he’s willing to lie to his audience to accomplish his goal. Check out Adam Howard’s post about how O’Reilly selectively chose an older ABC poll to “prove” that Edwards’ anti-war stance was hurting his campaign, ignoring four other polls (including a Fox News/Opinion Dynamics poll) that showed that Edwards’ numbers were holding steady and/or climbing. Props to our favorite canine pals, the News Hounds, for their analysis.

O’Reilly must really hate his audience to lie to them so much. Unless he sees himself as Daddy telling his little babies that Santa Claus is real. Why tell them the truth and shatter their childlike sense of wonder?
