Id like to know all that oil that we drill is going to stay here domestically, and its not going to be exported by the oil companies. []</p> <p>SARAH PALIN: Its a fundamental commodity, and they dont flag the molecules where its going and where its not. In the sense of the Congress today, they know that there are very, very hungry domestic markets that need that oil first. So I believe that what Congress is gonna do also is not to allow the export bans to such a degree that its Americans that get stuck holding back without the energy source that is produced here, pumped here. Its gotta flow into our domestic markets first. [] Off shore is where its and. [] And, for drilling, that s what s going to get us there also. There are many leases that the oil companies hold today, that essentially they are warehousing the oil underground. Theres still a lot of places in America, of course, that need to be tapped. Theyre proven reserves in these areas in Alaska, in the Dakotas, new finds there. Where we have billions and billions and billions of barrels of oil underground in the United States of America. We have hundreds of trillions of cubic feet of clean, green natural gas on-shore and off-shore. Its a matter of Congress allowing these lands to be tapped. The off-shore drilling, the allowance given there also for safe, reliable and ethical drilling of these resources. Thats part of the reform that we have to usher in to DC also. Not allowing the big oil company lobbyists undue influence to dictate how this is going to happen. People are blaming Washington for doing next to nothing on this one, and theyve got that right. Our opponent says he wants to help Americans who are struggling with high energy costs, but time and time again he's sided with special interests and come out against solutions that would help Americans heat their homes and fuel up their tanks and pay their energy bills. And maybe if he'd been the governor of an energy-rich state, he'd get it. And maybe if he'd been on front lines of securing our nation's energy independence, then he'd understand. As governor of Alaska, Ive overseen a very large portion of our U.S. domestic production of oil, and through a heck of a lot of competition and hard work, Ive secured agreements to build a nearly $40 billion national gas pipeline to get our clean, green, natural gas down to hungry markets, like here in Wisconsin. He was homeless at age 6 and a high-school dropout at 17. Dr. Carmona experienced homelessness, hunger and health disparities during his youth. While serving, he earned his General Equivalency Diploma and went on to become a combat-decorated Special Forces Vietnam veteran.
