The final Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in New Hampshire's Democratic Presidential Primary shows Barack Obama leading Hillary Clinton 37% to 30%.

Clinton has a slight edge among Democrats but the Illinois Senator enjoys a more than 2-to-1 advantage among Independent voters likely to vote in the Democratic Primary.

Among Likely Democratic Primary Voters, the current New Hampshire poll shows John Edwards with 19%, Bill Richardson with 7%, and Dennis Kucinich with 3% support.

Nationally, since Iowa, Clinton's lead has been shrinking in the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll. Rasmussen Markets data shows that Obama is favored to win the nomination.

Yesterday's release showed that Obama is perceived to be a bit more liberal politically than Clinton. Forty percent (40%) of Likely Democratic Primary Voters view Obama as politically liberal while 49% see him as moderate. Clinton is seen as politically liberal by 30% of the primary voters and moderate by 59%.

Rasmussen Markets data suggests that Barack Obama is currently favored to win in New Hampshire. Current prices imply that Obama has a 96.0% chance of winning while Clinton has a 4.0% chance. Did Hillary Win Nevada? Maybe Not

Perhaps only the voracious appetites of the headline hungry media counted. At first it seemed that Nevada, not being a winner take all state had awarded 13 delegates to Hillary Clinton and 12 to Barack Obama, this according to the Associated Press. I say seemed, because NBC News reported it as 13 for Obama and 12 for Hillary thanks to the importance of northern and rural areas in the state.

Now an Associated Press representative has suggested that NBC may very well have been right and that Obama probably won the majority of Nevada delegates.

Delegate count notwithstanding, Clinton appears to have won the popular tally by under 600 votes with 98% of the vote counted. In any event, hardly a smashing Clinton victory, if it's a victory at all.

The culinary workers' union is huge because of all the casino workers. A judge ruled that casinos can serve as caucus sites, so this is expected to help Obama, who has the culinary workers' union endorsement.

But it's really about turnout. Unions are great at turnout, but a caucus is much different than a traditional primary.

Desmoulins from MyDD shares a first hand account of one voter who "said she could no longer attend as planned because she'd be taking delivery of a new La-Z-Boy Saturday at noon."

Expect to get results from more rural areas first, as they are smaller. The casino caucuses will likely report latest since they will be so large.

This is a very interesting clip. Obama responds to a question about his "electability" (something Dems did very well with strategically in 2004 by choosing John Kerry btw), which in his case is a question of race.

I have heard this question again and again. Particularly, when I was back in Washington D.C. this past week. It is always phrased the same way, about how "the middle of the country might not be ready for an African-American President."

First of all, as someone who lives in that vast "middle" now, the one that many on the coasts only fly over and think watches Hee Haw all the time, I have to say a few things. Um, Illinois is in the middle. And for Obama to be elected there with 70%, some white folks outside of Chicago must have been voting for him.

And yes, I know he was running against another African American in Alan Keyes, but wouldn't you vote for the self-hating black man as opposed to the one who is comfortable in his own skin (no pun intended) if you're so racist? Or maybe you wouldn't vote at all.

Second, you may remember that the first African American governor was not from my home state of New York or California or Massachusetts, but Virginia. And not today's Virginia. A much more crimson-hued Virginia of two decades ago.

My point is not to say there is no lingering racism, sexism, anti-Semitism, etc., out there. But to remind people that the media obsessed over Joe Lieberman's being the first Jewish VP in 2000, and without the election stolen in Florida, he wins. I think this issue is so openly pontificated simply because it is easy to argue about on cable. The truth, however, is not so black and white, or red and blue.

At least according to the undecided viewers giving their opinion. In fact, he did well enough that one of the beltway heavies thinks he is going to win Nevada. Amazing, as I thought he wasn't worth talking about anymore, as practically no political reporter deems him worthy.

But the real fun is when you look over at the other side of the equation. The Republicans hate all of their candidates, which is why none of the above almost beat Giuliani in Michigan.

Meanwhile, Democrats really like all of our contenders, which is why they are in a dead heat in Nevada with a third of the vote, roughly, going to each.

Ain't life grand. Well, not for the Grand Old Party of course....
