What if "lonelygirl15" hadn't just been a corporate "viral" marketing dealie? What if it had been a real attempt to personify the collective voice and wisdom of the interwebnettubes?

We thought: "what would she say? If she only said stuff, y'know, that we liked?"

Performed by Nyima Funk, Josh Funk, Andy Cobb
Additional vocals by Marc Evan Jackson

Music by Josh Funk
Director of Photography - Mark Kienlen
Asst Director -- Rima Yazbeck
Written and Directed by Andy Cobb

If you are unfamiliar with the cultural herpes that was lonelygirl15, you can rub unprotected against its blistered surface here: www.youtube.com

It bears saying, having dropped the names of several Progressive websites here, that we're unaffiliated with those sites. Frankly, they are terribly serious people who will probably find our little impeachment carol more than a little juvenile. But if you're interested in Progressive politics, try: www.dailykos.com www.crooksandliars.com and www.americablog.com.

Yoo-hoo...Karl? Where are you? We've got subpoenas...

Karl: Josh Funk
The Darker Dido: Nyima Funk
Cast: Beth Farmer, Marshall Givens, Theresa Gumprecht, Marc Evan Jackson, Val Snyder, Marc Warzecha.
Key Grip: Nikki Cobb
Director of Photography: Mark Kienlen
Written and Directed by: Andy Cobb

Thanks: Second City LA, also to Dr. Dre for not suing/"pulling a 187" on us. So far.

_____
For more on Karl Rove and New Orleans, check out: www.sourcewatch.org

I'd like to clarify something about our little vid: hopefully it is clear this is intended to kick Karl Rove while he's down, not mock anyone unfortunate enough to receive "stop loss" orders.

That's something I've never understood when I read about the anti-war movement in the seventies—why all the anti-troop sentiment? By contrast, as a guy who currently attends a fair amount of anti-war meetings, marches, and the like, I can honestly say I've never heard anything remotely untoward said about military personnel. Instead, there is inevitably heartfelt expression of empathy, concern, and—to echo an overused term—support. Just so's ya know.

If folks would like to debate which side of the political fence "supports" the armed forces, have at it. First, please check out how the administration provides for our vets: www.washingtonpost.com

Thanks For Watching,

John Edwards, unambiguously married Presidential candidate, was recently called a "faggot" by that delicate flower Ann Coulter.

I like Edwards a lot, but there certainly are catty, evil, and accurate things she could have called him. "Born poor white trash" maybe, or a "do-gooder."

The fact that she chose to call Edwards a "faggot" just goes to show: even at her most vile and mean-spirited, the woman is fundamentally incapable of getting her facts straight.

The fact that this totally slayed her audience reveals another truth about the movement she represents: what do conservatives find funny?

Fox News, please take note regarding your new, apocalyptically bad show.

Thanks To - Second City Los Angeles, Rima Yazbeck.

UPDATE: On the point of ratings--ratings have come out for Fox News's show...admittedly, they are quite good. I would maintain that this is one of two things at work:

1. There are many rubberneckers such as myself who watched the whole thing just because...they couldn't believe the horror.

-or-

2. There are actually a number of people, regardless of their politics, who think a bunch of stiffs desperately try to find reasons to rhyme "Barack" with "Iraq" is entertaining. If this is the case, I guess they're getting what they deserve.
