CNN's Bill Schneider discusses how a Gore victory on Sunday might encourage him to run for president in 2008.</p> <p>The New York Observer confirmed a few weeks ago that Gore is leaving the door open for a possible September entry into the presidential race:</p> <p> "According to one influential Democratic insider, close associates of the former Vice President have communicated to him and other prominent fund-raisers who are uncommitted to the other '08 candidates that Mr. Gore will consider entering the race—if an opening presents itself—in September."</p> <p>To this day, no Gore official has stepped forward to deny that report.
