Krongard , Department of State</p><p>I managed to listen for a few minutes as Patrick McHenry (R-NC) displayed his blind loyalty to the Republican party rather than do his job on the oversight committee. Here&#39;s what he called that job:</p><blockquote><p><strong>&quot;Drive-by oversight&quot;&nbsp;</strong></p></blockquote><p>Yes, he compared the examination of alleged corruption to a brutal crime. Yes, it is apparently criminal to ask questions and get answers.</p><p>Here is what some of that &quot;drive-by&quot; oversight revealed:</p><ul><li>Krongard&#39;s brother is on the Blackwater USA board.</li><li>Krongard didn&#39;t know that.</li><li>Krongard would recuse himself from anything to do with investigations of Blackwater should he be convinced that his brother is on the board.</li><li>Krongard needed to be convinced, even after he was shown emails from Erik Prince, Blackwater&#39;s chief executive, that said his brother, &quot;at this very minute&quot;, is at a hotel welcoming to the board.</li><li>Krongard said this to Diane Watson (D-CA): &quot;Yes sir.&quot; At least, that&#39;s what it sounded like.<br /> </li></ul><p>My CSPAN3 went out for awhile, but it&#39;s back.
