AUDIENCE MEMBER: "Most Democrats who are running for anything right now are moving to the center to get elected and they will say and do anything in front of whatever group they're at. And this is certainly including your opponent right now. Will you hammer away at [...] their Socialist and Marxist philosophy?"

JOHN MCCAIN: "Yes. [...] So often those of us that seek public office or hold public office underestimate the intelligence and knowledge and the ability of the American people [...] They aren't always right, but generally speaking they are. And I'm sorry [...] that Sen Obama has not taken up on my request [...] that we should have these town hall meetings together.

"[...]And I regret, not so much for me because I'll still win this campaign, I believe. But I think the American people deserve more than the soundbite and the 'gotcha' quote and the advisor that said so-and-so or whatever the back-and-forth that goes on, [...] the attack ad, [...] the 527s, all of those things. [...] Of course sometimes I will stumble [...]"
