Sam is off to stuff himself with his family, and Sarah is getting ready to cook her turkey... but not without showing us the evisceration process of poultry.

Evisceration processes remove the internal organs of the poultry. Hearts, livers, gizzards, and necks may also be cleaned and packaged in evisceration. This operation includes the following tasks:

Task 1: Rehang: Hangs carcasses back for further processing down line.
Task 2: Opener (Vent Opener): Manually cuts open the bird.
Task 3: Neck Breaker: Cuts the neck.
Task 4: Oil Sack Cutter: Cuts and removes the oil sack.
Task 5: Arranger: Arranges viscera for USDA inspector.
Task 6: Giblet Harvester: Separates giblets and viscera.
Task 7: Gizzard Harvester: Removes the gizzard.
Task 8: Gizzard Table Operator: Manually trims and cleans gizzards.
Task 9: Gizzard Table-Peeler Operator: Moves the gizzard over rollers to remove the skin.
Task 10: Heart and Liver Cutter/Inspector: Cuts and inspects hearts and livers.
Task 11: Bagger: Places hearts, livers, gizzards and paws into bags.
Task 12: Lung Vacuumer: Removes lungs and kidneys.
Task 13: Backup Eviscerator: Verifies that carcass is eviscerated.

From MSNBC: President George W. Bush has granted pardons to 14 individuals and commuted the prison sentences of two others, including a rapper, convicted of misdeeds ranging from drug offenses to tax evasion, from wildlife violations to bank embezzlement, The Associated Press learned Monday.

The new round of White House pardons are Bush’s first since March and come less than two months before he will end his presidency. The crimes committed by those on the list also include offenses involving hazardous waste, food stamps, and the theft of government property.

Not on the pardon list is Scooter Libby, former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, who was convicted in 2007 of obstruction of justice and perjury during an investigation into the leaking of the identity of CIA officer Valerie Plame. Bush commuted Libby's 30-month prison sentence.

MIKE HUCKABEE: I hear people say, Well, didnt he commute a lot of sentences? Well it is about judgment. Ill let you be the judge. Soldier came home from Iraq. He earned the bronze star. Served his country as a National Guardsman from his state. They were called up to do his service and he did it. He worked his way through college before that. Now, hed come home from the military with his bronze star and his combat duty was in the Sunni Triangle. When he got back stateside, this brave soldier, who served our country, fought for our flag, in our uniform, wanted to become a police officer. But there was one problem in his way. When hed been thirteen years old, hed shot one of his friends with a BB gun in the arm. Now, the BB didnt even break the skin. But he did, in fact, shoot the BB gun at his friend at age 13. And it was on his record and as a result he couldnt get into the police academy . . . unless he got a pardon from his state.

MITT ROMNEY: The great majority of Americans want a person of capability with the kinds of values and vision that will lead the country forward in a very difficult time. And I think Governor Huckabee's rise in the polls justifies him getting a close look by the voters. They take a close look at his record on his immigration they'll see someone who is too liberal on immigration. When they look at the 1,033 commutations he handed out they'll see someone who is too liberal on crime. When they look also on his record of spending, from $6 billion to $16 billion as governor they'll see that's too liberal of a spending record and too liberal of a tax record. So I'm convinced that as people take a closer look the good republicans of South Carolina will support a conservative candidate like myself, and they won't be supporting Governor Huckabee.

MITT ROMNEY: What are some differences? Well I've described for instance with regards to military policy, I do not think the President's administration is an 'arrogant bunker mentality" administration. I believe that this President has done everything he could do to keep us safe. Does a president make mistakes? Of course. Will I make mistakes? Of course. But the last thing you're gonna hear me say is that the President of the United States, George W. Bush, is a person who is arrogant with a "bunker mentality." That's simply wrong and uhhh not something I would ever do. Let's turn to other areas, like this one [he points to banner behind him], immigration Umm, when I was Governor, a bill came to my desk. The legislature passed it, the liberals liked it. And it said that the illegal aliens in our state should get a tuition break, they should get lower tuition charges, that citizens from other states should get. And I vetoed that. I said no way are we gonna give illegals, tuition breaks to go to our University. You don't want to create a greater magnet for people to come here illegally. Now Governor Huckabee, when he was Governor, uhh fought in favor of a tuition break for illegal aliens and tax-payer funded scholarships for illegal aliens. So we have a very different view on that aspect. On uhh spending. When I was Governor I tried to hold down spending. My first year, I actually reduced spending. I don't know that if that ever happens anywhere. I'm not just talking about slowing the rate of groowth, uhh growth. I actually brought it down from the year before. And overall, during my four years, it grew, according to the Club for Growth, at 2.2% a year. Governor Huckabee took his budget from $6.7 billion, when he came in, to $16 billion, an increase well of over 100%, almost 150%. So a very different perspective, on how you spend money. And of course, he raised taxes as well. Now he lowered some taxes, but he raised taxes. And net-net he increased taxes by 500 million dollars. I don't like raising taxes. And so we have a very different view on spending and taxes.There is another area of some difference, and that relates to crime. And this is a uhh difference in philosophy. Umm, as a Governor, it's a very unusual thing that happens, I was only in office, maybe a couple months when my chief of staff came in and said, with a whole stack of manila folders. She said these are requests for pardon. These are convicted criminals who want you to pardon them, and let them out of jail... And I said I can't understand why you'd pardon someone who had been duly convicted by a jury of their peers and let them out of jail. And then we talked about it and I realized, there might be some circumstance where perhaps new evidence, DNA evidence, proved someone was innocent. That would certainly be a reason... But after 4 years in office, with all these pardon requests coming through, the number of pardons I gave out was zero. I felt that people convicted should be in jail to the end of the term, as directed by the judge and by the jury. Now, in Governor Huckabee's case, he granted 1,033 pardons, including 12 to murderers. I find that a very different philosophy. And so we have different views on some important issues, and I consider myself more conservative on those issues. Now, there are some places where we stand together. First of all, we're great friends. Number two, we're both pro-life, strongly pro-life. Number 3, we're how many numbers am I up to? [laughter] Number 3, we're uhh, we're in favor of traditional marriage. We both favor a federal amendment to the constitution, defining marriage as a relationship between a man and a woman [applause]. And so we have places where we're the same and places where we're different. But together were a lot closer than the folks on the other side of the aisle.

Pink Police arrest Libby and Bush at White House

With the help of activist/actor David Barrows, ladies from around the country performed creative political street theatre and demonstrated free speech.
