When he endorses me, it does not mean that I embrace everything that he stands for and believes in. And I am very proud of Pastor John Hagee's spiritual leadership to thousands of people.

"I am proud of his commitment to the independence and freedom for the state of Israel. That does not mean that I support or endorse or agree with some of the things that Pastor John Hagee may have said or positions that he may have taken on other issues. I don't have to agree with everyone who endorses my candidacy or has supported my candidacy, I am not endorsing some of their positions."

REPORTER: Your campaign today issued a statement repudiating the endorsement of you by Rev. Hagee. What is it about his latest comments that push you to that position, whereas the others did not?

JOHN MCCAIN: I just think that the statement is crazy. And, uh, unacceptable and certainly Rev. Hagee, Pastor Hagee, is entitled to his views but we've reached a point where that kind of statement, simply, I would not, I would reject the endorsement of the expression of those kinds of views. But also I'd like to make something else clear. My church, that I attend, is the North Phoenix Baptist Church. My pastor and spiritual guide is Pastor Dan Yeary. I've never been in Pastor Hagee's church or Pastor Parsley's church. I didn't attend their church for twenty years. I'm not a member of their church. I received their endorsement, which did not mean that I endorsed their views. But the comments made, uh, most recently by pastor Hagee are just too much.

You may have heard of Rev. John Hagee, the McCain supporter who said God created Hurricane Katrina to punish New Orleans for its homosexual "sins." Well now meet Rev. Rod Parsley, the televangelist megachurch pastor from Ohio who hates Islam. According to David Corn of Mother Jones, Parsley has called on Christians to wage war against Islam, which he considers to be a "false religion." In the past, Parsley has also railed against the separation of church and state, homosexuals, and abortion rights, comparing Planned Parenthood to Nazis.

John McCain actively sought and received Parsley's endorsement in the presidential race. McCain has called Parsley "a spiritual guide," and he hasn't said whether he shares Parsley's vicious anti-Islam views. That's because the mainstream media refuses to ask. And so, we've taken matters into our own hands, joining Mother Jones to present the truth about McCain's pastor.

Since the media won't question McCain about his deeply bigoted pastor, it's up to you to call attention to this issue. Make McCain's pastor problem a major story by forwarding this video to your family, friends, and colleagues.

We can't let McCain get away with aligning himself with a religious leader who's called for an all-out war on Islam, someone who draws no distinctions between Muslims and violent Islamic extremists. Now is the crucial time to act.

Former Pastor Jeremiah Wright is not a racist, he's not anti-American or a bigot according to those that know him. Catholic priest, Michael Pfleger, is the lastest person to speak out in defense of the reverand following the firestorm of controversy generated by mainstream media. Pfleger speaks of the double standard in media coverage based on race, and racial injustices that still exist today in America. A couple of things here are worth noting: - 9/11 sermon by pastor Wright (yes, Fox News LIED about this, see it in context). www.youtube.com - Former Minnesota Governor, Jesse Ventura, recently said some comments that could be labeled anti-American, hateful, and anti-white. But the media has largely ignored that, even though he compared America to Nazi Germany. www.youtube.com www.youtube.com - Hillary Clinton's former pastor, Dean Snyder, defended Rev. Wright. www.huffingtonpost.com - Conservative Republican and former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee defended Rev. Wright. www.youtube.com - Fox New's Sean Hannity, who widely pushed the Wright story, was long time friends with neo-Nazi shock jock radio host, Hal Turner, a fierce, proud and open racist. www.newshounds.us www.youtube.com - Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. was also critical of US government policy (the Vietnam War), social injustice and racism in America. At times he was demonized by media in his time as an anti-American communist, an evil hypocrit, and a demagogue. - Neither Bill O'reilly, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Karl Rove or Glenn Beck has ever enlisted in US military service. But they've all slammed Rev. Jeremiah Wright as a hater of America. Reverand Wright did serve in the military as a marine, not long after integration of the military. Wright also attended to former President Lydon B. Johnson, and was a guest of Bill Clinton in the White House. For the record, Karl Rove, who might come under criminal investigation now for interference with our justice system, had several deferments to help him dodge the draft. Beck has a history of drug abuse and alcoholism. Hannity is a high school graduate and former construction worker and bartender. Limbaugh is a college dropout, thrice divorced, with a history with drugs who recently encouraged listeners to break the law to corrupt democratic primaries and "bloody" Barack Obama.
