Caught on Tape: Top GOP Pundits Call Palin "Political Bullshit"

Wall Street Journal columnist and former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan and former John McCain adviser, Time columnist, and MSNBC contributor Mike Murphy were caught on tape disparaging John McCain's selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his Vice Presidential running mate.

"It's over," Noonan said.

When Chuck Todd asked her if this was the most qualified woman the Republicans could nominate, Noonan responded, "The most qualified? No. I think they went for this, excuse me, political bullshit about narratives. Every time the Republicans do that, because that's not where they live and that's not what they're good at, they blow it."

Murphy characterized the choices as "cynical" and "gimmicky."

Yes, the guy who sat on the board of Marriott, which is the pay-per-view hotel porn HQ of the world is now trying to complain about what our kids watch and read. Including porn. Which many people probably saw because of HIM (watch the video).

And if only that were the worst part of this ad. Oh no. We're treated to the ocean waves cresting and crashing, which of course if Mitt did any reading beyond Battlefield Earth, would probably ring a few bells as a metaphor used throughout literature and theology for Sexual Potency. And then there's the fact that the whole ad is premised on a quote from noted philosopher and crazy person Peggy Noonan (talk to the dearly departed lately, Peg?).

If proving you're as much of a clown as our current president is the way to get the nomination, Mitt is on the fast track.
