<p><p>From Media Matters' <a href="Media%20Matters">Eric Boehlert</a>:</p><p>Coveted assignments for presidential debate moderators were <a href="http://mediamatters.org/rd?to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tvsquad.com%2F2008%2F08%2F05%2Fthe-presidential-debate-moderators-are-chosen%2F">handed out</a> last week, and guess who was left off the list ... again.</p> <p>After suffering the bitter, and unprecedented, blow during the Democratic primary season of having candidates <a href="http://mediamatters.org/rd?to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.politico.com%2Fnews%2Fstories%2F0307%2F3069.html">refuse</a> -- <a href="http://mediamatters.org/rd?to=http%3A%2F%2Fquery.nytimes.com%2Fgst%2Ffullpage.html%3Fres%3D9C0CE7D91530F932A35755C0A9619C8B63">twice</a> -- to appear in Fox News-sponsored forums when bloggers raised hell about the news organization's lack of legitimacy, Rupert Murdoch's news channel was again left off the list of news anchors tapped to moderate the must-see TV events in the fall. </p> <p>Instead, the questions during the three presidential forums and one vice presidential debate will be posed by PBS' Jim Lehrer and Gwen Ifill, as well as NBC's Tom Brokaw and CBS' Bob Schieffer. </p><p>Unlike the primaries, Fox News this time won't be locked out entirely; all the networks will be able to broadcast the debates. But the snub means that once again Fox News will be denied the chance to leave its imprint on the all-important debates. It won't be able to build its brand on the back of Democrats who have injected extraordinary passion and interest into the White House run. </p></p>

<p>MSNBC is airing ridiculous piece of propaganda in the form of a Chris Matthews commercial where the pundit says that politics at its best is about gutsy people with ideas and "those who watch get to decide who is right".</p>
<p>Unfortunately, NBC recently changed its own rules in order to kick Rep. Dennis Kucinich out of the upcoming January 15th debate in Las Vegas. </p>
<p>Is NBC's parent company GE afraid that Kucinich's anti-war message could hurt its bottom line? And is Chris Matthews a hypocrite?</p>

Well, there goes his good name. </strong></p><p><strong>Flooding continues in the Midwest. Now our country's not only going down the drain in Washington -- but in Ohio too. </strong></p></blockquote><blockquote><strong>Republicans held a presidential debate at the historically black Morgan State University. When the candidates stepped on to the stage someone in the audience was heard saying, "Well, there goes the neighborhood." </strong></blockquote>I've haven't seen an audience this quiet since I played the White House! What is this, a blog or an oil painting? </p>

<p>Although I never expected Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney to be a big civil libertarian, I was still surprised to see his misstatement of the issue at the Fox News sponsored debate on September 5 in New Hampshire.
