I am somewhat of an idealist. I believe that most people are good and when faced with a decision will decide to do what is right. After I read the Washington Post article and saw the quote from Melissa Norcross a little bit of that idealism was chipped away. I know...I know this is what PR people do, they spin. But do they also lie? Melissa Norcross did.

The lies and corruption uncovered by this film is shocking, and sickening. How can this be? How can this possibly happen inside a country that is allegedly fighting for freedom? This is not a democracy, nor is it anywhere near freedom.
The next question we should be asking ourselves is this: What are we going to DO about this issue? How are we going to put an end to the ever-increasing decadence that looms over each and every one of us, not just in America, but the entire world?
What disturbs me most is the fact that our children, and our youth of today, have little or no concept of the corruption occurring in our country. This is both dangerous and destructive to our children's ability to fight against what is happening.
For those of you who have children: I offer a possibility. Teach them yourselves about the hate, and greed, that affects us so drastically. Teach your child that corporate power is severely unbalanced and taken advantage of often. Teach your child that this happens because not enough people are fighting against it.
Teach your child to FIGHT against corporate power... This is something that the educational system will not teach our children. The educational structure, which is mandatory for all children ages 5/7 - 18, is mostly government-controlled. It is not likely that the government will support an anti-corruption lesson plan!
So, please, for the sake of human rights, be a mentor to your children. Stay active in their lives, encourage independent thought, and teach them what they need to know.
