Once upon a time, there was a vile, two-timing, womanizing, racist Harris County D.A. named Chuck Rosenthal. He was married, yet he was boinking his secretary and sending her emails about kissing her behind her right ear.

After awhile, more sordid details came out about Sir Right EarAlot:

GOP officeholders and party leaders are calling for Harris County District Attorney Chuck Rosenthal, a Republican, to resign following the release of hundreds of his e-mails, including love notes to his secretary and racist jokes.

Then, one day, he had to go and break the law:

He also used the county e-mail account to plan his now-aborted re-election campaign. Those e-mails, while tamer, may be more damaging to Rosenthal's career because such messages may violate Texas laws barring the use of government property for political activity.

That's funny. The U.S. government doesn't seem to object to that. But that's another kingdom entirely.

Rosenthal, who was first elected in 2000, presides over an office that sends more convicts to death row than any other prosecutors' office in the nation; Harris County includes Houston. He has said the death penalty is God's law as well as the state's and that he follows both.

Well then, what's everyone in such a tizzy about? God wants to smite people, whether or not they might be proven innocent later on, so go ahead, Phil...smite 'em.

This week, more e-mails surfaced from public information requests by local media. Rosenthal forwarded a racist e-mail comparing former President Clinton to stereotypes of black men and received other racist e-mails.
Another e-mail, sent to Rosenthal by Assistant District Attorney Kelly Siegler's physician husband, included a video of men forcibly pulling down women's clothing in public.

I love a D.A.--a god-fearin' Republican lawman who holds the lives of so many in his very hands--who's a sick racist pig, don't you?

And so the village constables shall decide whether to throw him in jail and toss the key. They should. After all, it's God's law as well as the state's and Sir Right EarAlot follows both.

In Part 1, we were showered with complaints about the GOP by one of their own, GOP consultant Allen Raymond. That's the very same Allen Raymond who illegally schemed to make hundreds of calls to jam the phone lines of New Hampshire Democrats on Election Day in 2002.

And now you can do that, too! Are you ready to learn from an expert? Good for you! Just think of the fun you and your friends can have committing felonies whenever you want! Why, you can involve the whole family!

Orchestrate a series of prerecorded calls to Republican caucus-goers in Iowa in which you accuse your opponent of floating in balloons and riding around on motorcycles wearing leather chaps. (In 1996, Bob Dole's campaign set up the calls to damage the chances of Steve Forbes, although the charges actually applied to Forbes' father, Malcolm Forbes.)
Concoct a phony press release on your opponent's letterhead that contradicts his "pro-life" position on abortion (Forbes was confronted with the release, reputedly created by unnamed opposition strategists, on NBC's "Meet the Press.")
Make calls to Democratic union households taped by actors putting on thick Spanish accents, "figuring union workers were the voters who felt most threatened by immigration."
Call 8,000 Republican county committee members at home in the middle of the Super Bowl on behalf of your opponent, enraging all those couch potatoes.
For now, Raymond is unemployed and looking for a new career, since his life in politics is finished.

Yes, boys and girls, not only is GOP consultant Allen Raymond (he's the one who illegally schemed to make hundreds of calls to jam the phone lines of New Hampshire Democrats on Election Day in 2002) teaching us how to rig an election, but he also tells us exactly how he feels about his fellow Republicans! What a treat!

Raymond blames the Republican Party for making him the fall guy and claims that his scheme was approved by a top state GOP official and the Republican National Committee's northeast regional director.
Raymond lashes out at his "old pals" at the RNC for spending money on Tobin's legal defense "while at the same time labeling me a liar, a rogue and a thief to any news outlet that would listen."
[H]e claims that the state GOP wrote him to demand its money back after paying him to carry out the scheme. "They were going to throw me under the bus, but first they wanted to check my pockets to see if there was any cash there," he writes.
"No one would hire and if they wanted to hire me, why would I want to work for them," he tells ABCNEWS.com. "It's like that old Groucho Marx line about not joining a club that would have me as a member."
"The most blatant dirty trick is when Republicans go on to TV to talk about 'Barack Hussein Obama.'"
Raymond was struck by the calls to the pastors in Iowa that threatened them with IRS subpoenas. "That's some rough stuff."
Re: The investigation of the anti-Mormon calls that targeted Mitt Romney and his faith in November... "That was not nickel-and-dime stuff," says Raymond, explaining that the cost of such an operation narrows the field of suspects. "It couldn't have come from Huckabee, McCain or Thompson * they don't have enough money to pay for that kind of operation."

Who would that leave? Hmmm.

Anyone feeling sorry for Mr. Raymond?

Republican scandal #105781715: Alabama governor hiding corporate donations

And this isn't just any Republican governor. This is the Republican governor who's involved with the same scandal as Karl Rove over the vote recount that ended up with the controversial conviction of Don Siegelman. Whew! There were enough scandalous references in that run-on sentence alone to make you nostaligic for Monica Lewinsky!

Alabama's Republican Governor Bob Riley may have attempted to conceal illegal corporate donations to his 2002 and 2006 campaigns by representing them in campaign finance reports as having come from individuals, according to an an investigation carried out by the Montgomery Independent.

Here's the part about Don Siegelman:

Riley's campaigns have been under close scrutiny during the past several weeks, with questions being raised about his narrow victory over incumbent Don Siegelman in 2002, followed by Siegelman's prosecution on what many consider to be trumped-up charges when he proposed to run again in 2006.
An ongoing RAW STORY investigative series has explored the 2002 Alabama governor's election, in which Riley pulled ahead only when a last minute change in the tally switched several thousand votes in one county from Siegelman's column to Riley's and the state's Republican attorney general refused to allow a recount. Karl Rove is alleged to have been directly involved in that election, working together with longtime Alabama GOP operative William Canary.

Montgomery Independent publisher Bob Martin has called for further investigation of the matter, stating in an editorial, "The question which stands out front-and-center is whether or not the listing of individuals instead of the true corporate donors was intentional, as in to bypass the legal limits on corporate donations or was just a mistake in reporting."

There ought to be a Scandalholics Anonymous group for these thugs.

This is a sequel to a video I edited four months ago entitled "Republican Party Values", which cataloged some (not nearly all) of the criminal offenses of the Republican Party leadership since George W. Bush was selected president in 2001. For this project I decided to focus more on the Republican Party claim that they alone exemplify American morality and "family values" by putting together a short montage of some of their sexual indiscretions since the partisan witch hunt against President Clinton in 1998, as well as a few notable exceptions outside that time frame.

Ultimately this is not a story about sex, but about hypocrisy. It is a story about a modern Republican Party obsessed with capitalizing on bigotry and human frailty to score cheap political points for lack of any positive political platform while they themselves engage in the behavior they're so quick to demonize.

Republican Consultant Scott Reed On His Own "Ridiculous" Party

And this guy is a partisan, as in he managed Bob Dole's '96 presidential campaign. Here is his sweet-sounding rant:

"The real question for Republicans in Washington is how low can you go, because we are approaching a level of ridiculousness," said Mr. Reed, sounding exasperated in an interview on Tuesday morning. "You can't make this stuff up. And the impact this is having on the grass-roots around the country is devastating. Republicans think the governing class in Washington are a bunch of buffoons who have total disregard for the principles of the party, the law of the land and the future of the country."
