I've been impressed with California's progressive leadership on issues like same-sex marriage. It would be a major step in the wrong direction if Prop 8 passes, which is why Rick Jacobs and the Courage Campaign have put together this satirical piece, "Gender Auditors."

The ad launched today, as thousands of people pour into the streets of San Francisco outside the insurance convention, and in 19 other cities across the country, to protest the insurers and to advocate for guaranteed healthcare, such as HR 676 and SB 840, the federal and state bills for an improved and expanded "Medicare for All."

Rick Jacobs, the Courage Campaign, and the California Nurses Association are livid because Terry McAuliffe is planning to speak at the America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) convention in San Francisco on June 19. That McAuliffe will be addressing major health insurance corporations with former Bush spokesperson Dan Bartlett flies in the face of Barack Obama's recent pledge for the Democratic National Committee to reject lobbyist contributions.

Sign their letter to McAuliffe.

Take part in what the CNA has declared a national day of protest against health insurance corporations.
