You may have already heard about the John Gibson comments. I used to go on his show, and I wish I could say it surprised me at all. The fact that he would mock someone's death, well, any respectable network would chastise him, disavow his comments and at the very least suspend him.

The key word in there of course was "respectable."

Additionally, the usual lunatics who thought AIDS was "God's punishment" to gays are also showing their "compassionate conservatism" by blaming his death on his playing a gay man in Brokeback Mountain. Which is interesting, because if God did punish people in such a Fire and Brimstone manner, there would be Republicans dropping dead in bathroom stalls across the land.

What can you say but conservatives are simply sick. It is obvious in their hatred of poor children who don't have healthcare, their love for profiteers and their frankly unhealthy obsession with homosexuality.

We would need enough psychiatrists to fill the state of Idaho to ever have a shot at making these people sane...
