In some of the comments, some people have said that it was “unfair” to take McCain “out of context” and that by trying to make McCain look bad by using a soundbite of him, I was being just as bad as FOX. But this seems like a case of projection — nowhere in the video or the blog did I criticize McCain for saying he “really didn’t love America” until he was a POW, and the video includes the full "context" of the comment he made.

Personally, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with what he said, exactly as I think there is nothing wrong with what Michelle Obama said when she said "for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback."

This video is about proving once again that FOX is the Republican propaganda channel, and they’re willing to lie about and doctor their own material if it helps Republicans. If someone thinks that this video is trying to make McCain look bad, it’s only because they themselves think that McCain looks bad in the video. Maybe that’s because they’ve been so convinced by the Republicans and the corporate media that Michelle Obama’s statement is so unforgivable that they don’t know how to respond to seeing McCain saying virtually the same thing. Repeatedly. The video says nothing bad about McCain — it just shows that he has said something similar to what Michelle Obama said, and FOX tried to cover it up. If you want to absolve McCain for this statement, you should do the same for Michelle Obama — otherwise you’re a hypocrite.

On March 13, 2008, FOX’s Sean Hannity interviewed John McCain for the full hour. The interview started with questions about McCain’s time as a prisoner of war in Vietnam. At one point, this was said:

HANNITY: You spent two years of this five-and-a-half-year period in solitary confinement. What does that do to a person, to spend that much time in solitary confinement?

MCCAIN: I think it makes you a better person. Obviously, it makes you love America. I really didn't love America until I was deprived of her company.

Get that? McCain “really didn’t love America” until he was a POW.

Now think about how the right (including FOX and even Cindy McCain) have attacked Michelle Obama for saying that “for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback,” a quote that even Laura Bush has defended. Now listen to what McCain said. Let that sink in for a bit. Feels good, doesn’t it?

But there’s more.

Jedreport.com discovered that the transcript of the McCain/Hannity interview on FoxNews.com had no mention of McCain saying he “really didn’t love America” until he was a POW. I checked and sure enough, it wasn’t there. So I started watching the video of the interview of FoxNews.com — it wasn’t there either.

The email alert read “Breaking from Newsmax.com,” the conservative online news site that also publishes Newsmax Magazine. One item in particular caught my attention: Special: Will President Obama Ban O’Reilly, Rush?

One click, however, reveals this ‘breaking’ news is simply old wine poured into a “special” new anti-Obama bottle: a ridiculous recycled report entitled “Talk Radio’s Last Stand,” offered with a subscription to Newsmax magazine and a “Dynamo Emergency World Band Radio” — all for just $35!

Leading hard-right conservatives, led by their talk radio “shock jock” shock troops, have been worrying aloud about the supposed return of the long-defunct Fairness Doctrine ever since their stunning success last year in defeating bi-partisan immigration reform. The latest salvo is the Newsmax report, headlined “Battle for Talk Radio: Powerful Foes Want to End the Gabfest,” which cleverly combines the usual talk radio tropes of pugnacity and victimization. The text of the “special offer” supplies the details:

“The 2008 election has yet to be decided, but one thing is clear: If the Democrats win the White House, expect an all-out attack on talk radio. Political talk, as we know it, could end. If they win, Rush, Imus, Savage, Beck, and dozens of other major hosts will be muzzled by using federal regulations to control political talk. So, what’s their plan of attack?”

As Newsmax sees it, “leading liberals in Congress, the Democratic presidential candidates, and even some Republicans speak openly of their plans to end conservative talk radio using federal regulations. Their weapon: a revived Fairness Doctrine, which would once again require stations to air divergent points of view — a clever ruse that makes station owners leery of airing controversial talk-radio hosts fearing law suits and federal sanctions. This is how BOR described it during his interview with McClellan:

MCCLELLAN: I'm trying to take my partisan hat off and look at the real problems we've got in this country and D.C. And how do we fix those? That's what I did. It's much larger than the president or Karl Rove or any one person. This is about something bigger. And that's the message that has been getting lost while people try to turn this book into a gotcha points. It's not about that. It's about sharing my experiences so we can learn from it.

O'REILLY: Then why didn't you lecture the far-left guys who did turn it into gotcha points? Why didn't you tell that to them?

Since signing on as a “Fox News contributor” in February, Rove, a maxed-out donor to McCain, has provided electoral maps to the campaign, admitted learning about insider information in a “private gathering” with the senator, and repeatedly shilled for McCain on the network.

But yesterday on Hannity & Colmes — after almost four months of silence — a Fox anchor finally gave Rove his proper title. While Rove was slamming Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) as a “weak” candidate, Alan Colmes, the liberal co-host of the show, interrupted and noted that Rove was a McCain supporter who informally advises the senator:

Obama Legitimizes FOX by Failing to Confront Them

Barack Obama didn’t call out FOX for what they are — a Republican propaganda outlet — when he appeared on FOX News Sunday to talk to Chris Wallace. Unfortunately, this means Obama, the Democrats, and American democracy lost.

Obama did a respectable job answering Wallace’s light/medium-biased questions, but he didn’t go after FOX the way his campaign claimed Obama would in a Friday statement to Talking Points Memo. Instead, he made the error of treating the interview as if it was actually an interview, not an ambush staged by enemies committed to destroying him. Because FOX had two main goals for Obama’s appearance: to further the appearance that FOX is actually a news organization and to gather ammunition against Obama.

FOX clearly accomplished their first goal, since nothing could legitimize FOX more than having a top presidential candidate (and a Democrat, no less) do a sit-down interview with them. What Obama and his campaign failed to realize is how destructive it is to the Democratic party, as well as America and its democracy, to have people think that FOX is anything other than a Republican propaganda outlet. By legitimizing FOX, the stories they run, the lies they tell, and the opinions they espouse are also legitimized. There’s no better example of this than the recent ABC debate, where George Stephanopoulos thought that Sean Hannity would be a good person to ask for questions to ask Obama. Why would Stephanopoulos think that Sean Hannity—a racist, serial liar, and FOX’s strongest, most consistent purveyor of anti-Obama misinformation—is a “fair and balanced” authority on Obama? Because Hannity is on FOX, and Stephanopoulos thinks FOX is a news organization. “Fair and Balanced” is right there in their slogan. And because more high profile democrats don’t identify FOX for what it is, FOX is allowed to retain its appearance of legitimacy, which is all they want. They don’t want to be a news organization — they simply want to create the appearance that they are a news organization to provide cover for their propaganda. And, sadly, Obama was a willing participant in furthering that appearance.

This is the last round of commentaries going at Sean Hannity and this man's obsession with Senator Hillary Clinton.

The first ones were just asking. Now, I am not going to worry about him no more about the constant Hillary-bashing. He wants her to win the nomination so he can go on and on about her and former president Bill Clinton.

Alan Colmes, the co-host of Hannity & Colmes is getting tired of it, too. I got to give it up to Colmes. He finally trying to make the debate program balanced, even though it's still a favorite to neo-cons like Ann Coulter, Brent Bozell, Laura Ingraham, Michelle Malkin, and Rush Limbaugh.

Why worry about Hannity and Dick Morris?

They have a Clinton Compulsive Disorder, in which they say Clinton within five seconds at a pace of over 300 times mentioned.

They only fuel more support for Hillary Clinton. I urge Republicans to avoid following into the trap of "BLAME CLINTON". Cause Bill Clinton has been out of the White House for over eight years, time for President Bush to take responsiblity for the failures of 21st Century.

The next one, is Rush Limbaugh "Vows" to carry on (attacking John McCain)! Sean Hannity will get a dig for his attacks on McCain too!

You can listen to the message or not! I don't care. But I don't have the time to watch the nonsense and speculations of one zealous pundit and his goal to "STOP HILLARY".

My personal opinion on the Wright issue.

This has been over a month. And yes, this could be a deciding factor in Obama's race to the White House. Some of the things Wright said were wrong. But they do hint some truths about America and its views on one another. Because the rush to judgement issue is always the one thing that we as Americans fail to denounce.

With all that said, I noticed a strong increase in the Neo-Nazi, KKK, White Supremency and Black Nationalism on YouTube. I am assuring you that I proudly denounce all the racist and ignorant commentators here on YouTube/Google! So for those who are racist or ignorant, go ahead post your comments at the bottom. At least I show you people the diginity that I accept all comments.

Thanks to FOX News, right wing talk radio pundits and the supporters of Clinton, Obama and McCain. We are officially back in 1950s.

I frequently check out Black websites about the issue and on their take of Fox News. The more I see about this issue is quite disturbing.

Over the past three weeks I viewed, hip-hop sites: DaveyD, Allhiphop, Bossip, and SOHH. I also recently visited Revolutionary Muslim, Southern Poverty Law Center, Prison Planet, and Newshounds websites. The websites all judge Fox News as unceremoniously racist.

The websites believe the network has pushed negatively coverage of race, religion and gender by far any other channel.

Liberal activist and director Robert Greenwald has waged war against Fox News by presenting videos critical of the network. The website: foxattacks.com

Also I can't stop people from judging Pastor Wright, Senator Barack Obama, Senator Hillary Clinton, Senator John McCain or President Bush. You are entitled to criticize these people. But I in no way support networks such as FOX News. The main reason is mostly due to it's misleading coverage of all candidates. Not just Democrats, some Republicans (in case you people forgot about Representative Ron Paul).

Senator Obama has over 85% of the Black Democratic vote and believe me, this can be the sign that Fox News will be scruntized more by liberal bloggers and supporters of Obama.

After months of scrunity from the media, Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., former pastor of Barack Obama's Trinity United Church of Christ, has finally responded to the attacks on him and his church.

Art Golab a writer from the Chicago Sun-Times wrote an article stating that Wright said some scathing comments about Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity while attending a funeral of a former judge.

The Chicago Sun Times also have audio of the entire sermon (Note: the media was not allowed in the funeral! So I don't understand how the reporter managed to get this recording from the church and leak it to the mainstream media. Once again, this is the media that you can depend on! I bet FOX News paid the reporter to get the coverage of Wright, after all they knew he was talking about FOX, and they needed a story about Wright).

My answer to O'Reilly and Hannity. Look here! You men are rich! You make a living on controversial issues! You do not care about the truth. All the things FOX News does is sensationalism. They make up stories without checking their facts. Now when people are attacking the network or you personally, you're naturally going to defend yourself. But in the case of O'Reilly and Hannity, they started the feud and now people respond back and they use the pity excuse. It's basically saying they go around saying that "Oh, he's attacking me! I was telling the truth! How dare him! He's going to regret attacking me!" That's what typical O'Reilly and Hannity do! Wise up! You can dish it out, but you can't take it! If you can't take it, "Shut the f*** up!" You people over at FOX News are nothing but "Republicans and Hot Babes!" I think the network only has just hot women, too much opinion and no substance.

I can't stop people from judging Pastor Jeremiah Wright, Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity. We have the right to criticize them, the government, the news media, television, President Bush, Vice President Cheney, or the candidates running for president!

The reason why I post these videos only tells the viewer: That I in no way support networks such as FOX News.

I Destroy Hannity's Best Argument for Endless Iraq War

Phil Donahue was a guest on Hannity and Colmes last Wed. (4/8/08) to promote the documentary Body of War, about a paralyzed soldier’s journey as he comes to grips with his disability and the truth about the Iraq war. Donahue, who co-directed and executive produced the film, did a great job of exposing the violent, short-sighted idiocy of Hannity/neocon “ideology”, which you can see or can read about here, but I'd like to address something else.

Hannity decided to strain his active brain cells and present his best, most airtight, "fundamental" argument for why America needs to stay in Iraq forever — that Iran, Hezbollah, Syria, Hamas, Al Qaeda, etc. (scared yet?) are the modern-day equivalents of fascism, imperial Japan, communism, Nazis, etc., which were all "evil" and took huge amounts of American blood, money, and sacrifice for our nation to defeat.

This was Hannity's best argument for why the US should stay in Iraq forever, continuing to spend over $12 billion a month; cause the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis; maim and destroy the minds, lives, and families of American soldiers; and lose the respect, love, and authority of the world.

I can debunk it in one sentence.

If staying in Iraq so the US can "win" is so important, call for a draft immediately and demand massive amounts of national sacrifice from every American citizen.

That's where Hannity's "best" argument completely crumbles.

This is starting to seem more like a direct religious attack rather then political debate.

For some reason, regardless of the fact the Obama is ahead in delegates, 1418 - 1251, and he is also ahead in the popular vote, FOX insists that Obama is hurting from the bad press. Considering that Sean Hannity started this whole mess by drilling his viewers and listeners with his smear campaign on Jeremiah Right, he and others like Laura Ingaharam and Bill Oreilly hit this point several times on every show, everyday.

Stopping the FOX Virus

I had a very disturbing talk with my dad about Barack Obama.

I was on the phone with my parents telling them about the video I was working on, FOX ATTACKS! Obama part 2: Spreading the Virus, and brought up how FOX (Sean Hannity, in particular) has been desperately trying to create a connection between Louis Farrakhan and Barack Obama because a magazine founded by Obama’s pastor, Jeremiah Wright, and run by Wright’s daughters recently gave Louis Farrakhan an award. I told my parents how Hannity went from saying the magazine gave Farrakhan the award to claiming Wright gave him the award (which he didn’t) to saying that Obama “associated” with Farrakhan (which he hasn’t). Hannity would mostly use these “stories” so he could rattle off some of Farrakhan’s most offensive comments and mention Obama in the same breath, effectively linking the two in the minds of FOX viewers. He just wants to say, “Obama — Farrakhan — racist — anti-Semite” over and over again until they are linked, just as FOX did with “Iraq — Al Qaeda — 9/11 — terrorism” in the run-up to the Iraq war.

Of course, Hannity almost never mentions that Obama has repeatedly denounced Farrakhan’s racist, anti-semitic, and inflammatory remarks, has called for more cooperation between the black and Jewish communities, has spoken before the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), and has been defended by the American Jewish Committee, the Anti-Defamation League, the Simon Wiesenthal Center and other prominent Jewish organizations. But Hannity doesn’t want his viewers to know this. He just wants them to have a vague impression that Obama is an anti-semite and a black separatist.

When I mentioned this example to my parents, my dad said, “Wait, didn’t Louis Farrakhan give Obama an award and Obama accepted it?” When I told him that this was completely off, he said, “Oh, I guess I must have heard it wrong.”

First, let me tell you a bit about my dad. He’s a very smart man, and when it comes to chemistry, he’s a certified genius. He’s not a current events junkie like I am, but he’s reasonably well informed. I got him a subscription to the Economist several years ago and I know he’s kept it up and still reads it, and he watches the nightly news. He is definitely not a conservative or a FOX viewer.

So how could he have been so wrong? That’s one of the problems we’re trying to address in FA Obama 2.
