Color our kids forewarned...about pedophiles

Color me abuse-aware:

New York's Roman Catholic Church is trying a novel approach to alert children to the danger of being sexually assaulted by a priest, with an abuse-themed coloring book, officials said Tuesday.

Can you pass the chartreuse? That's what color my face just turned because my stomach can't take the visual:

One image in the book features a guardian angel hovering over an altar boy with a priest lurking in the background.

Now could you pass the cardinal? No pun.

"For safety's sake, a child and an adult shouldn't be alone in a closed room together," the angel counsels. In another, the angel warns of a sexual predator attempting to chat with a child over the Internet.

That's coloring outside the lines, one might say...if one were a blogger with a warped sense of humor.

Maybe next year they'll come out (no pun) with a Tickle Me St. Elmo.

Fox News' Bill O'Reilly Forgets to Apologize for Blaming the Victim of Sexual Abuse?

I kept waiting and waiting for Bill O'Reilly to apologize for his incredibly insensitive statement on January 15, 2007, blaming a sex abuse victim for not escaping from his kidnapper, including the claim: "the situation here for this kid looks to me to be a lot more fun than what he had under his own parents" And, if you think I am quoting Bill O'Reilly out of context, you can see the entire context at: www.crooksandliars.com But, O'Reilly never did apologize and, worse, by the time Michael Devlin pled guilty to sexually abusing the boy O'Reilly blamed, O'Reilly was already pretending to care about the victim as you can see in this video.
