When I first started working on YouTube videos, I was previously editing for Wikipedia.

One of the articles I was working on was called Missing White Women Syndrome. A focus on why the media has an obsession with missing white women. By which, the mainstream media cover women who are upper middle class, pretty, coming from sturdy backgrounds and did I have to mention that they are white.

Determining the standards of the American media is "undefined"! The public generally thinks the news media has a political bias. Whether its either CBS, NPR, Fox News, or Wall Street Journal, the news media has officially sunk standards to new lows. And one in particular is the controversial coverage of missing people and inappropriate relationships.

As many probably recognize is that the media has eventually a missing person case. It happens when a family member urges the mainstream media to cover a loved one.

In 2005, Natalie Holloway, an Alabama high school senior who traveled to Aruba became the lightening rod of what some in the media claim an "over saturation" of coverage. And the people are noticing the issue. The media barely covered two missing moms! A Spartanburg mom by the name of Tamika Huston and Philadelphia mom by the name of LaToyia Figueroa were two prime examples. A national outpouring of supporters urge the media to push for the missing moms! The media did cover it and unfortunately they were murdered during our outcry for media attention.

CNN's Anderson Cooper once said that if there's any hard evidence that might lead into breaking a news story, then CNN will cover it. Its sister network Headline News is one of the primary suspects of how the media covers missing people. Nancy Grace, a former prosecutor who hosts a talk show is primarily an example. Others who are in this profile include: Greta Van Susteren and Geraldo Rivera of Fox News. These pundits are the leading voices of how the media sunk to new lows in covering missing people.

Soft news stories are usually involved when the media avoids covering major hard news stories. Missing people stories that the producers of a program think are relevant get major air time. They need a back story, a pretty face and a villain: and there you have it! Your major story! Now for all the missing and murdered victims out there, I want to send my prayers and condolences to all the families and friends of that loved one.

In sense, I want you to know that I have no racial bias to the issue! I believe that each missing person is a victim. I believe the media is a tool in helping find a missing loved one. And in no way, I wish death on any missing one. I promise that I will do all I can to help, but I rarely rely on the media in my quest to find someone. I think it's essential not to jump to conclusions when covering a missing person story.

As a bonus I will also cover Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly gets the wrath of an angry "mom" (grandmother) on live television! Caylee Anthony's grandmother Cindy lays one into Kelly over her rush to judgment. And of course, Fox News is upset and exploiting it to the fullest. My prayers go to the mother Cassie and the grandmother Cindy Anthony.

To the family of Marilyn Renee "Niqui" McCown: It's been over seven years and Niqui McCown is still missing and not one mention other than local news media in my hometown of Dayton, Ohio. I need help in urging the media to cover her disappearance.

Take a stand against the corporate owned media and turn that television off. Don't let the media play on your emotions, your thoughts, your judgment, and your vote.

McCain Predicts Polk County Gay Marriage Ruling Will Be "Reversed"
Senator John McCain was in Gladbrook, Ia. on Sunday evening campaigning at a house party. He spoke on the lawn at the home of Lynn and Claire Handorf and then took questions from the audience and press. Regarding last week's Polk County ruling that allowed at least one gay couple to marry in Des Moines, Senator McCain said, "Smart people tell me that that decision will be reversed by a higher court." He says he would support a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, "if there was a superior federal court that said that the states don't have the right to regulate the status of marriage...but I certainly don't [support an amendment] when the states are deciding."

The Arizona presidential candidate was in Iowa for a two-day campaign tour.

Sam gets back to Los Angeles from New York City and, with nary a moment of rest, goes into rehearsals and a performance for the Emmy Ball at the Shrine Auditorium. Besides rehearsal, he takes you to make up, the red carpet, back stage and finally the ballroom itself.

We start our adventure in the backseat on the way to the Emmy Awards gala at which Sam prepares to perform. We're taken behind the scenes during rehearsal of his "Bridge Over Troubled Water". You get to see the process with the band and his backup singers, along with stage management.

Sam gets into a tux for the walk down the red carpet. After wardrobe and makeup, he heads to the land of microphones.

Cesar Millan (The Dog Whisperer), is the first celebrity we see. On his way to Jean Smart (Designing Women, 24) we see a glimpse of Michael Urie (Ugly Betty) and Kathy Griffin (Life on the D-List) while Sam sings "The Emmy (Lady) Is A Tramp" in the background (from the performance later that night). Also a shot of the beautiful Leslie Caron (A living legend from the MGM days!). Sam poses for paparazzi and is stopped for interviews, so the camera is the voyeur at this point. Hey... that's Stanley Tucci! (Big Night, ER)

We end our trip backstage at the control room and say goodnight to Sam in his dressing room.

Pegeen Hanrahan: "Use our cities more effectively"

Mayor Pegeen Hanrahan sees her city of Gainesville, Florida, as one that needs to build up, not out. And with Florida's skyrocketing population growth -- the state's population is projected to grow from the current 18 million to 36 million by 2060 -- Florida will soon have to listen to Mayor Hanrahan and grow in more sustainable ways.

"The only hope for doing it [growing sustainably] in any sort of way that doesn't decimate the natural environment is to use our cities more effectively and to build more like a Boston or a Washington or a New York than an Orlando, quite frankly."

She points out that over 730 mayors have signed on to the Kyoto Protocol, showing that cities are on the frontline of climate change in spite of the federal government's refusal to act.

But sustainable cities aren't just good for the environment, says Hanrahan, they're good for the the people that live there. Quality public schools, comprehensive public transportation, and affordable housing options are vital to urban growth. However, as we build sustainable cities, we need to make them attractive not just environmentally but attractive culturally as well.

"I think the role of the city is to make the city such a wonderful place to live with access to wonderful restaurants and parks and sensible transportation alternatives and sublime arts experiences and so on that people really want to be in the city."

If you build it, they will come.
