Hillary Wins Arizona!
As you know, Hillary Clinton won Arizona's Democrat Primary. Arizona's Democrat voters chose Senator Clinton over Barack Obama. Arizona's Superdelegate Votes should go to Senator Clinton.

Janet Undermines Voters... Again...
However, Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano wants to be United States Attorney General and/or a U.S. Supreme Court Justice. So, to advance her "Career", Governor Napolitano has stated Janet will cast Janet's Superdelegate Vote for Barack Obama. Once again, Governor Napolitano has selfishly undermined the will of Arizona voters.

Promises, Promises, Promises...
What promises did Barack Obama make to gain Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano's endorsement?
Do you want Janet Napolitano running America's Justice Department? Can you trust Janet Napolitano?

With superpowers!

"As a U.S. representative, it is my role not to try to subdue or suppress the will of the people, but to help it prosper and grow," he said.

Lewis is a member of the Democratic leadership in the House of Representatives and a Democratic "superdelegate," one of the elected officials and party leaders who will not be bound by the results of primary elections or caucuses when they vote on the party's presidential nominee at its August convention in Denver. He is also a longtime friend of Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and said he had "a deep and abiding love" for both.

But he added, "I think the candidacy of Sen. Obama represents the beginning of a new movement in American political history that began in the hearts and minds of the people of this nation. And I want to be on the side of the people, on the side of the spirit of history."

So it’s come to this. More than forty years after the Civil Rights Movement almost 200 years after Women’s suffrage, just under forty years since 18 year olds have been able to express themselves as voters, and it all may be for naught. There is something broken in a democracy when you cast your vote and a superdelegate from your district renders it null and void:

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — …At least 11 members of the Congressional Black Caucus may cast their superdelegate ballot for Senator Hillary Clinton, even as their districts have voted for Senator Barack Obama, often by overwhelming margins....

While many CBC superdelegates have publicly refused to select a candidate that undermines the popular will of voters, several have stalled and threatened to vote against the candidate chosen at the ballot box. In some cases, these CBC members have made it clear that they are honoring political allegiances. Rep. Laura Richardson (D-CA) dismissed calls to support her constituents as "premature," even as she reminded D.C. newspaper "The Hill" of her commitment to Senator Clinton's Presidential campaign as early as 2004. Senator Obama won her district by 10 points.

Ask elected officials to make clear that they will use their superdelegate vote to ensure the nomination is determined by the electorate, not political insiders.

Sign the Petition.

Remember the story of Jason Rae, the 21-year-old superdelegate who was schmoozed up by Chelsea Clinton? Well guess what? Chelsea's not as effective at schmoozing as one might think:

A few weeks ago, 21-year-old Wisconsin superdelegate Jason Rae was taken out to breakfast by Chelsea Clinton in the runup to that state’s Democratic primary.

Two days after the vote, the college junior – who will be the youngest superdelegate at this year’s Democratic National Convention — is undecided no longer: he’s backing Barack Obama.

I saw him interviewed. He's unusually poised and couldn't be pressured by the media into giving answers he wasn't ready to give.

“The Democratic Party is fortunate to have two very talented individuals running for President this election,” said Rae in a statement released by the Obama campaign Thursday. “It is a difficult choice for anyone, but in the end, the choice for me has become clear. I am proudly supporting Senator Barack Obama.”

He cited Obama’s support from an overwhelming majority of young voters as the major reason for his decision.

Jason's so bright and articulate, I could see him running for office after he graduates from Marquette. He'd be ready on Day One. Snark.
