Liberal Quote of the Day!

Last week, a friend of mine gave me a wonderful book by William Martin called The Best Liberal Quotes Ever: Why the Left Is Right. The book is, as you probably guessed, a compilation of great quotes from the left, as well as a section at the end of Shocking and Stupid Quotes from the Right.

This book is a must for democrats and progressives, but I also think it would be great for republicans and maybe even for a few of the less sexist, racist, homophobic, xenophobic, warmongering conservatives. In my opinion, you’ll find most of the quotes to be very inspirational, regardless of your party affiliation. I foresee myself buying this as a gift for a lot of people.

So I thought I’d feature a quote every now and then, sometimes sharing my thoughts on them, sometimes letting them speak for themselves. So here we go.
