<p><p>I am a huge fan of this proposal. Members of Congress, who make six-figure incomes, have gold-plated government health plans.</p><p>This, while many right-wing liars claim that fire may rain down from the heavens if we give people universal care through the government. Funny, none of them have ever rejected their own personal "socialized medicine."</p><p>So Edwards says that within six months of being sworn in as President, he'll veto these benefits and members of Congress will lose their own free GOVERNMENT health care unless everyone else gets this right.</p><p>What will all the lying corporate shills like Grandma Mitch McConnell and Cry Baby John Boehner do when they actually have to, you know, pay for it like everyone else?</p><p>As an aside, Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown refuses his health plan, because unlike hypocritical Republicans he has said that if everyone doesn't get covered by a plan like his, then he won't accept it (Ted Strickland, our governor, did the same thing when he was a Congressman--I don't know what he does now).</p><p>Principle, it must be a weird concept to most conservatives.</p></p>
