<p>Union Pacific's Living Legend # 844 Leads the 100th Anniversary of the Denver Post's Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo Train on the return to Denver the evening of July 19, 2008 As we find the train southbound north of Eaton,CO and ease into Greeley at 6m then follow it charging out of LaSalle @6m30 till sunset at 12min lose the focus, but the next 5 xings are so fine, on into Platteville where the red lights, end the fun....</p>

<p>This was taken in Steilacoom, WA. The SP 4449 & UP 844 were all finished with their excursion in the Seattle-Tacoma are and were headed south through Steilacoom, WA on the BNSF mainline. The train was slowly being overtaken by a Amtrak Talgo, and I was afraid I was going to miss the Steam engines, but alas, I lucked out.</p>

<p><p>UP #844 Cheyenne thru Rawlins WY 3 May 2007 Union Pacific Railroad's historic steam locomotive, No. 844, will travel more than 3,000 miles from its base in Wyoming on a 29-day, four-state tour to the Pacific Northwest, to celebrate the railroad's history and heritage. The "Pacific Northwest Portland Rose Heritage Tour" will begin on May 3 when No. 844 leaves Cheyenne, Wyo., and travels to Rock Springs, Wyo. The locomotive will make overnight stops and be on display in: Rock Springs, Wyo. Pocatello, Boise, Nampa and Montpelier, Idaho La Grande, Hinkle, The Dalles, Portland, Ore. Tacoma, Wash. This will be the first time No. 844 has operated north of Portland <a href="http://www.uprr.com/newsinfo/releases/heritage_and_steam/2007/0424_pnw844.shtml">for more info</a> </p><p>post some videos of this with SP#4449 on the west coast if you can!
