TRANSCRIPT:
JOHN MCCAIN: I stand for the principles and policies that first attracted me to the Republican party when I heard, in whispered conversations and tap codes, about the then governor of California who stood by me and my comrades and who was building quite a reputation for standing by his convictions no matter the changing political winds in thought or popular culture. When I left the Navy and joined public life, I enlisted as a foot soldier in the political revolution he began. And I am as proud today to be a Republican conservative as I was then [applause]. I trust in the courage, good sense, resourcefulness and decency of the American people who deserve a government that trusts in their qualities as well and doesn't abrogate for its self the responsibilities to do for the people what the people can and want to do for themselves. We Republicans have always known that the first responsibility of government is to keep this country safe from enemies foreign and domestic [applause]. And the American people unburdened from the heavy hand of government who spends too much of their money on things they neither want nor need while failing to do as well as we should the things none of us can do individually.

Thanks for viewing and post comments at the bottom.

The media's "free ride" is over for Senator Barack Obama! If there was ever one!
After all the news networks are excited to cover the first African American to lead a national party to the White House.

3 out of 10 Americans believe that race plays a decision in the way they vote! That's 30% of the American public. About a good 35 million or so! I would think this includes those critics who are leaving the "nice" comments at the bottom.

The polls say that Senator Barack Obama is leading Senator John McCain by at least an average of six points. All things can change in the coming months.

There are going to be dissatisfied people. I am aware of that! You probably didn't want Senator Barack Obama. Well for those who are critical of the candidate I got some words for you straight from YouTube:

Get a life! You Obama hating idiots must have forgotten the millions of voters who supported Senator Barack Obama are not just Black people. There were people who were dissatisfied with Senator Hillary Clinton. There are Republicans dissatisfied with President George W. Bush. Senator Barack Obama has more appeal towards Independents. There are many people upset over the way the media has covered the candidates [Fox News, CNN, ABC, MSNBC and the like].

Ok, you Obama hating idiots! If I didn't throw my support to Senator Barack Obama, then you flip the corner and attack me for supporting Senator John McCain or any other candidate. You can't win for nothing! And by the way, I like Senator John McCain, but I am not supporting his stance on the economy.

Ok, you Obama hating idiots! I am going to ask you why the hell, Mitt Romney, Senator Hillary Clinton, Fred Thompson, John Edwards and Rudy Giuliani failed to secure the nomination?

American people come from all walks of life. They get their news from the internet, the cable news networks, and newspapers. They give you the word of mouth. So somewhere in America there's always a candidate hater! I welcome you here to my YouTube page!

If you don't like Senator Barack Obama, vote against him! It's not that hard! You want to sit it out, and then you're lost! As for me, I will encourage my friends to vote for him, you got a problem with that? Tough!

Author and CSU-Fresno Professor of Classics Bruce Thornton argues that muslim immigration is negatively affecting European security.

-----

Peter Robinson interviews Fresno State Classicist Bruce Thornton about his new book Decline and Fall: Europe's Slow Suicide.

In his new book, Decline and Fall: Europe's Slow Motion Suicide, Bruce Thornton asserts that Europe has turned its back on the Western tradition to which it owes its greatness. It has abandoned pride in the nation, discarded traditional Christianity, and, in so doing, is without unifying values, ideals, and beliefs.

But if Europe is still democratic, and if it still embraces the free market, why should anyone care that Judaeo-Christian religious beliefs are slipping away. The answer lies in the coinciding rise of radical Islam - Hoover Institution

Bruce S. Thornton is a classicist at California State University, Fresno. He is a frequent guest on talk radio shows across the United States and appeared regularly on ABC's Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher. Thornton is a regular contributor to the popular, conservative website www.CaliforniaRepublic.org and has written several books.

Peter M. Robinson is a research fellow at the Hoover Institution, where he writes about business and politics, edits Hoover's quarterly journal, the Hoover Digest, and hosts Hoover's television program, Uncommon Knowledge.

Author, economist and TV celebrity Ben Stein laments what he feels to be America's lack of community values.

-----

How Not to Ruin Your Life with Ben Stein.

You may know him best for his deadpan delivery in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, or his offbeat game show, "Win Ben Stein's Money." But this active thinker is also a major contributor to current discussions and understanding of business, ethical and social issues in the world of finance, and the political and social content of mass culture. Come hear this polymath speak about the many economic, political and social issues confronting us today - The Commonwealth Club of California

Ben Stein is a lawyer, economist, and commentator on finance (and a well-known actor and Hollywood personality).

Stein served as an economist at the U.S. Department of Commerce. He has been a longtime contributor to Barron's and a columnist and editorial writer for the Wall Street Journal. He has also written extensively about finance for New York magazine and the Washington Post.

In addition to writing for Yahoo! Finance, he currently writes a biweekly column on economics and finance for the New York Times and appears weekly on the Fox News network commenting on finance and economics.

He is the author of several personal finance books, including How to Ruin Your Financial Life, Moneypower: How to Make Inflation Make You Rich, Financial Passages, and - with Phil DeMuth - the best-sellers Yes, You Can Time the Market, Yes, You Can Be a Successful Income Investor, and the forthcoming Yes, You Can Still Retire Comfortably.

Stein is Honorary Chair of the National Retirement Planning Coalition, and lives in Los Angeles, Calif.

On January 3, 2008, at the Iowa caucuses, no matter who loses, community values will win. Caucus goers know we're all in it together and reject the divisive, hate-filled, corporate politics of the past.

And at least five presidential candidates have voiced their support for community values. Check out John Edwards, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Dennis Kucinich and Chris Dodd as they tell a crowd of thousands of community leaders in Iowa that this election, community values matter!

This is a sequel to a video I edited four months ago entitled "Republican Party Values", which cataloged some (not nearly all) of the criminal offenses of the Republican Party leadership since George W. Bush was selected president in 2001. For this project I decided to focus more on the Republican Party claim that they alone exemplify American morality and "family values" by putting together a short montage of some of their sexual indiscretions since the partisan witch hunt against President Clinton in 1998, as well as a few notable exceptions outside that time frame.

Ultimately this is not a story about sex, but about hypocrisy. It is a story about a modern Republican Party obsessed with capitalizing on bigotry and human frailty to score cheap political points for lack of any positive political platform while they themselves engage in the behavior they're so quick to demonize.

There's a nice little kerfluffle of stories this morning that seem to be like one of those "Magic Eye" pictures. When you first look at it, they don't seem like much, but as a whole.... a very interesting picture leaps out.

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A fundamental shift is transforming the religious right, long a force in presidential politics, as aging evangelical leaders split on the 2008 race and a new generation of pastors turns away from politics altogether.

(snip)

Over the longer term, the distancing of religious leaders from politics could prove even more consequential, denying the GOP one of the essential building blocks it has used to capture the White House in five of the last seven presidential races.

And.....

Idaho Values Alliance is in financial straits

The Idaho Values Alliance, founded by prominent social conservative Bryan Fischer, is in danger of folding because of a lack of funding, Fischer says.
The Boise group sent out an urgent plea for money this week, saying members will re-evaluate the group's finances in early December and that if donations fall short, the organization will be forced to shut down.

(snip)

Gale Pooley, a member of the alliance's compensation board, said subscribers might assume others are funding the group. He also said political campaigns could be drawing money from people who would otherwise donate to the alliance.

"A lot of people are getting requests from candidates," Pooley said.

So basically, there aren't enough <strike>suckers</strike> true believers to go around. Can't imagine why Idaho is having a problem with a so-called "Values" organization! Their Senator is a paragon of those "Values".
