You hear about Florida Democratic Congressman Tim Mahoney getting caught up in a sex scandal.

Well if you aren't aware of the sex scandals plaguing Washington, DC, you're not alone! I mean this is what make me more likely to be an independent voter.

Mahoney, a conservative [moderate] Democrat that represents the very district that he won after the 2006 Mark Foley scandal. In which, the disgraced congressman Mark Foley helped send the Republicans back to the minority.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Maryland congressman Chris Van Hollen and Illinois congressman Rahm Emanuel will have to explain what really went down with Mahoney alleged pay off to the campaign aide. Mahoney offered $121,000 to keep it a hush, hush situation.

Normally, I don't care what goes on in the personal lives of the people who serve our country! But I do say that I rather not trust anything a politician got to say about how he [or she] will change the direction of the corrupt antics of Washington, DC.

So for the Democratic Party, in regards to the Tim Mahoney scandal:

Cut your losses, cause that seat will be held by a Republican.

Senators Chris Dodd and Mary Landrieu, presented S. 1668 into committee in 2005 to assist in providing affordable housing to those affected by the 2005 hurricanes. The bill supports working poor families, helps families living in public housing, makes up funding shortfalls in Louisiana’s Road Home Program, and increases oversight and monitoring of federal recovery funds for all impacted Gulf Coast states to ensure full transparency and accountability. It is truly a progressive bill. In the summer of 2007 Brave New Films produced the short video When the Saints and asked you, our audience to sign a petition in support of S. 1668. Today that petition was delivered. Three television stations, the local newspaper, a minister, residents of public housing, and other advocates – 50 people in all were present to document the delivery of the petitions to Vitter’s staff – urging him to sign the bill that would let them come home.

I must correct something that is posted here, with my apologies if my post was misleading.

Here's what I wrote:

Vitter would shower twice per visit, once before, once after, always being careful to use unscented soap to avoid accusations of smelling, well, not like the macho guy he is.

That was misleading, I guess. I'm sorry for that. Cortez meant that Vitter was afraid to smell like a woman because he'd be suspected of being with one, not of being one.

I can see how it might have been interpreted to mean he was concerned with his own masculinity. That's not what she was saying, and apparently my writing failed to convey that.

Fair is fair.

Another Family Values Republican.....Yeah right! We're finding out many Republicans live alternative lifestyles behind closed doors. They'd do better as a party if they dropped the Family Values crap and went for the Alternative lifestyle crowd. That might give them a little hope as a party since everyone knows what losers and, liars and hipocrytes they really are. Look at this idiot here, railing against the very things he enjoys most. That, friends, is evidence of a sick mind. Vitter wants us to think of his children, but I have to wonder, was his children on the Senator's mind when he was romping about Washington in diapers with prostitutes? It stinks all around. Your tax dollars in action!
