Roy Blount's writing has appeared in numerous publications, including The New Yorker, Playboy, Vanity Fair, GQ, Rolling Stone, and National Geographic. His work has also been anthologized in such collections as The Best of Modern Humor, The Elvis Reader, The Ultimate Baseball Book, and The Sophisticated Cat.

He is the author of seventeen books, including Crackers (1982), About Three Bricks Shy of a Load (1986), Soupsongs & Webster's Ark (1988), Camels Are Easy, Comedy's Hard (1991), First Hubby (1991), Roy Blount's Book of Southern Humor (1994), which contains overs 150 short stories, sketches, essays, poems, memoirs, and lyrics, Be Sweet: A Memoir (1998), Robert E. The "civil war" has begun. After another "thumping" from the Democratic Party, the Republican Party is trying to focus on establishing a brand.

The Republicans are being pulled in twist and knots. The Republicans are being bashed by talk radio and those on The DUMB Right for not taking initiatives to exploit Jeremiah Wright, a weakness to Barack Obama.

The moderates and independents are quite upset at the Republicans for not focusing on kitchen table issues (meaning Wal-Mart voters), and pushing away their strongest supporters (meaning Hispanic/Latino voters).

The Republican Party has continued to be focused on the legacy of the past.
This strategy will not help them win. [And] it really showed during the general election.

The 40th President of The United States, Ronald Reagan died in 2004. How about the Republicans leave that chapter in the book closed?

For those who are not aware of the problems the party is facing, Republicans are rarely talking about President George W. Bush and his father, George H.W. the former president.

But with another election in the coming years, what can Republicans do?

We are sons and daughters, doctors and lawyers, teachers, and construction workers. We serve in congress, protect our country on the front lines, and contribute to the well being of this nation at every level.
Being open in your personal life is important to building closer relationships with your family and friends.
There is no right or wrong way to come out. Its a lifelong process of always being open and true with yourself and others- just do it in your own way, and in your own time.
Being open politically is equally important and can help change the world for young gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people who will follow us.
Educate yourself on LGBT political issues, and talk about them with friends and family during elections. We have the power to change thoughts and minds all across the nation.
Come out and use your voice...
