Because if the word “Christmas” isn’t displayed in stores or by America’s supposedly secular government, where else can you celebrate it except your church, your home, parades, with friends and family, in your mind, and in your heart?

Boy, 9, banned from school Christmas party - 'because he didn't believe in Jesus'

The "War On Christmas" gone bad.

Teachers banned a nine-year-old boy from his class Christmas party because his parents had barred him from RE (ed note- religious education) lessons.
Douglas Stewart was forced to stay at home while his friends received presents from Santa and tucked into ice cream and jelly.
His parents were told he was not welcome at the celebration because they had pulled him out of religious eduction classes earlier in the year.

Can't even begin to tell you how many Jewish holiday gatherings I've been to in my life. No one ever checked my bona fides at the door.

Headmaster Ian Davidson said that because the youngster had no interest in religion he could not celebrate the birth of Christ.
Furious mother Dawn Riddell, 38, said yesterday: "I've helped out at the Christmas party before and it's got absolutely nothing to do with Jesus. Douglas was heartbroken he couldn't go. It was cruel."

As the family have no religious beliefs, Miss Riddell had asked for them to be exempt from RE lessons.
But she was stunned when the head called with the news about the party.
She contacted Moray Council to find out its policy on school parties and was told these were non-religious.

Sounds like someone got a bug in their saddle over the fact the family was "non-religious" and decided to be a Grinch. Or maybe England is in the forefront on the "War On Christmas" and they've already won. Either way, it won't be covered by O'Reilly.

Berkley Nativity Brouhaha: Crunch Time (and FOX News) has Arrived

THE SHORT VERSION: We're facing a local ballot proposal in less than 12 days which, if passed, would FORCE the city council to build a Nativity display on city hall property. While this sort of issue pops up several times every year somewhere or another in the nation, to my knowledge this is the first time that there's been a city ordinance on the ballot which would specifically REQUIRE church & state to mix in such a fashion.

Remember that ridiculous campaign O’Reilly launched a few years ago about the War On Christmas (WOC)? Remember how the right and ass clowns like O’Reilly and John Gibson used purposefully militaristic language to convince its followers that Christmas was “under attack” instead of promoting the holiday’s messages of peace, love, compassion, understanding and generosity? Remember how backward-ass insane it was and how it became a total joke in the eyes of rational, non-hysterical people across the country?

Well lock and load your fruitcake and get ready to re-up — the WOC is back and it’s starting early! WorldNetDaily (formerly known as NAMBLA) has set up an online store so you can create “your personal ‘Christmas-defense kit’”. While bibles and crosses are apparently out of vogue, you can choose from a number of pithy bumper stickers which such slogans as:

- "This is America! And I'm going to say it: 'Merry Christmas!'"

- "Merry Christmas! An American Tradition"

WND notes that these bumper stickers are magnetized so you can “use them this year, next year and for many years to come.” I guess the right wants the WOC to last as long as the Iraq war — FOREVER!

Last week, Bill O'Reilly attacked Jon Stewart and the Daily Show for what he claimed was their role in continuing the "War on Christmas", and used a year old clip to prove this claim, then very pointedly wished Stewart, who is Jewish, a Merry Christmas. This week Jon Stewart decided to hit back - and hit back hard.
