<p><p>We have been extremely fortunate to have award-winning documentary filmmaker Dan Lohaus working with us on our homeless vets campaign. Dan directed an amazing documentary called <em>When I Came Home</em>, which follows the story of Herold Noel, an Iraq veteran who returns home only to find himself homeless and living out of his car, struggling to receive the aid he is entitled to while trying to be a responsible father to his infant son. </p><p>In addition to rave reviews from Variety and New York Magazine, <em>When I Came Home</em> also earned the New York Loves Film Documentary Award at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival. Just watch the preview and you'll get an idea why this movie has earned so much praise. <br /><br />I plan to write my own review of the film in the near future, but if you want to learn more about <em>When I Came Home</em>, visit the website at <a href="http://www.whenicamehome.com/index.html" title="when i came home">whenicamehome.com</a>. The website is a terrific resource, including information to help you locate organizations that help homeless vets, as well as contact information for members of the Senate and House Committees on Veteran Affairs. If you think veterans deserve better treatment in this country, demand it.<br /><br />If you care at all about the plight of homeless veterans in this country, <em>When I Came Home</em> is a must see. In addition, Dan is a super cool guy.</p></p>
